Playset & Outdoor Furniture Assembly on San Juan Island
A playset kit is three hundred pieces and a hillside. I've done both before.
- Licensed & bonded
- WA L&I #SANJUJI741OT
- Insured
- Locally owned in Friday Harbor
Outdoor kits arrive on the island in a pile of boxes and a manual written for flat suburban yards. A wooden playset can take a full day for two people, and very few island yards are flat.
I assemble swing sets and wooden playsets, then level them and anchor them so they don't walk or tip. On a slope, that means leveling the footprint or setting it on blocks, not hoping. I also check that there's enough clear space around swings and slides and that the ground underneath is something softer than rock.
The same goes for everything else outdoors: patio sets, Adirondack chairs, outdoor sectionals, grills, storage boxes, umbrella bases, and small storage shed kits. Grills get assembled and set up; gas connections to a tank are the simple screw-on kind. Anything plumbed to a gas line is a gas fitter's job.
For indoor flat-pack, see furniture assembly.

How long does a playset take?
A big wooden playset can be a full day or more. Simpler swing sets are a few hours.
Can you put it on my slope?
Usually. It needs a level footprint, which means some digging or blocking. I'll look first and tell you.
Can you hook my grill to the house gas line?
No. That's gas piping and needs a licensed gas fitter. Tank grills I can set up.
